The C4E Forum 2018 brought the energy efficiency community to Serock, Poland, for four days of high-level plenaries, panel sessions, workshops, DIY sessions and informal networking. The programme focused on energy efficiency as part of national energy policy, financing the energy transition, and the role of building renovation in Central and Eastern Europe.

Opening plenary

13 June

Why should national governments care about energy efficiency?

The opening plenary treated energy efficiency as an integral part of wider energy policy, including the role of building renovation and the impact of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and Energy Efficiency Directive.

Finance plenary

14 June

How to finance energy efficiency in the CEE region?

The second plenary focused on financing the energy transition and investing in energy efficiency, from public budgets and emission trading revenues to financial instruments that can bring in private investment.

  • The role of emission trading revenues in financing the transition.
  • Ways to monetise the social and economic benefits of energy efficiency.

The C4E Forum 2018 took place at Narvil Hotel Resort in Serock, Poland. The setting supported the Forum’s mix of formal sessions and informal networking, with lunches, dinners, coffee breaks and evening events built into the programme.
